My name is J.J. Ramirez, owner and lead technician of Platinum Autoglass. I was born and raised in the Salinas Valley and have spent my life living and working in this community. This isn’t just where I do business — it’s home.

Platinum Autoglass is an owner-operated company, which means when you call, you’re dealing directly with the person who will be working on your vehicle. From the first conversation to the final installation, I take full responsibility for the quality, safety, and integrity of the work.

Auto glass is more than just a trade to me. I live it, breathe it, and take pride in doing the job right the first time. I’m detail-oriented by nature and hold myself to a high standard because your windshield is a critical safety component of your vehicle, not just a piece of glass.

I am trained and certified in industry-approved installation methods and materials, including systems from Sika, DuPont, and Dinitrol. That training, combined with hands-on experience, allows me to properly restore your vehicle’s structural integrity and safety — the way it was designed to protect you.

As a family man myself, safety is personal. When I work on a vehicle, I think about the people riding inside it. My goal is always the same: to get you and your loved ones back on the road safely, with confidence and peace of mind.

In addition to daily installs, I’ve competed as a technician at Auto Glass Week, participating in nationwide industry competitions alongside some of the most skilled installers in the country. Competing at that level challenges me to continuously refine my techniques, stay current with best practices, and sharpen my skills beyond everyday work. I plan to continue returning to these competitions as part of my commitment to growth, craftsmanship, and delivering the highest level of service to my customers.

I’m also actively involved in the auto glass community and regularly network with other independent glass installers throughout the region. I value collaboration within the trade and believe that sharing knowledge helps raise the standard of work for everyone. I take pride in being someone other technicians can reach out to for insight, guidance, or support, and I’m always willing to help those who are serious about performing at their very best.
